The team and families at Sunshine Coast Karate have had an absolute blast over the weekend hosting the final QLD squad training session for our Australian Team Members.
Our Aussie Team members were put through their paces by Shihan Martin Phillips to kick start the day. Soon after our Aussie Team members were presented with their Australian Team uniforms, had a feast on the most amazing boxing kangaroo cake I have ever seen (compliments Maroochy Waters Bakery), and then continued with some inspirational demonstrations to entertain families and guests who came along to help celebrate our Australian Team Members.
Big thank you to everyone involved for helping us make it a great experience for all. Be sure to visit our Sunshine Coast Karate Facebook Fan Page for all the latest photos from this training session and more.
Australian Team Members representing Sunshine Coast Karate at the 2010 World Chito-Ryu Karate Championships include:Â Duncan Bigg, George Britchford, Tia Guy, Viet Kaas, Emma Moehead, Jim Moehead, Helen O’Grady, James O’Grady, Martin Phillips, Sandra Phillips, David Strazzari and Emma Woodhouse.
Local Support
We are also very fortunate to have team members receive grants from the Sunshine Coast Council Grants Program. These funds are received with much gratitude and will be used well in assisting members to cover associated expenses.
And thank you to the team at the Sunshine Coast Daily for doing a story on our team over the weekend.
