Open invitation to all martial arts enthusiasts (all styles)
Minimum age: 13 yrs
The workshops will primarily focus on bo & sai, check the session information below for more details.
No prior experience is required, but it is recommended that participants are at least intermediate kyu level in karate (7th Kyu or higher for Chito-Ryu karate students). You will need to provide your own weapons for the workshops.
SCHEDULE
Saturday, 2nd March 2024
– Session 1 (1:00 – 5:00pm): Bo & Sai kihon waza (basic techniques)
Sunday, 3rd March 2024
– Session 2 (9:00am – 12:00pm): Bo kata
– Session 3 (1:00 – 4:00pm): Sai kata Kobujutsu
– Kyu Grading (4:30pm~): Instructor recommendation & prior knowledge required.

– Sensei Sandra Phillips (5th Dan Karate & 3rd Dan Kobujutsu).

Sunshine Coast Karate 2/14 Depot St (Cnr Progress Rd) Maroochydore, QLD
In the event that there are too many participants registered to fit in the dojo safely, a nearby, alternate venue will be used. If this occurs, all registered participants will be notified a few days prior.
